इंग्रजी विषय नव्हे भाषा रुजवतांना..
ज्या देशात इंग्रजी ही दुसरी किंवा तिसरी भाषा आहे, त्या देशात इंग्रजी फक्त विषय म्हणून न शिकवता ती एक भाषा म्हणून शिकवणे खूप महत्त्वाचे आहे. यासाठी शिक्षकांनी वर्गात इंग्रजीतून संभाषण करणे व सूचनांच्या माध्यमातून बोलणे फार आवश्यक ठरते.
शिक्षक जेव्हा विद्यार्थ्यांना इंग्रजीत सूचना देतात – जसे की “Open your books,” (तुमची पुस्तके उघडा), “Work in pairs,” (जोडीने काम करा), किंवा “Listen carefully and repeat after me” (काळजीपूर्वक ऐका आणि माझ्या पाठोपाठ म्हणा) – तेव्हा विद्यार्थी भाषेचा अर्थ व वापर प्रत्यक्षात समजू लागतात. त्यामुळे इंग्रजी ही फक्त व्याकरण व पाठ्यपुस्तकापुरती मर्यादित न राहता दैनंदिन जीवनाशी जोडलेली भाषा बनते.
उदाहरणार्थ:
"उभे रहा" सोबतच '"Stand up, please"असं सांगू शकतात.
गट क्रियाकलापांदरम्यान शिक्षक प्रोत्साहन देऊ शकतात, "शाब्बास,Good job! किंवा “Try again.”
अशा सततच्या वापरामुळे विद्यार्थ्यांचा ऐकण्याचा व बोलण्याचा आत्मविश्वास वाढतो. त्यांना इंग्रजी ही केवळ परीक्षेसाठी लिहायची भाषा नसून प्रत्यक्ष संभाषणासाठी वापरायची भाषा आहे, हे जाणवते.
म्हणूनच शिक्षकांनी इंग्रजीतून दिलेली बोलकी संवाद व सूचना ही नैसर्गिक भाषिक वातावरण निर्माण करण्यासाठी अत्यंत महत्त्वाची ठरतात.यामुळे इंग्रजी शिकणे हे रटाळ न वाटता रंजक, अर्थपूर्ण व उपयोगी अनुभव बनते.

In countries where English is a second or third language, it is very important to teach English not just as a subject but as a language. For this, teachers need to communicate in English in the classroom and give instructions in English.
When teachers give students instructions in English – such as “Open your books,” “Work in pairs,” or “Listen carefully and repeat after me” – students begin to understand the meaning and usage of the language in real situations. As a result, English is no longer limited to grammar and textbooks but becomes connected to daily life.
For example:
Along with saying "उभे रहा" (Stand up), teachers can say "Stand up, please."
During group activities, teachers can encourage students by saying, “शाब्बास, Good job!” or “Try again.”
This continuous use builds students’ confidence in listening and speaking. They realize that English is not just a language for writing exams but also a language for real communication.
Therefore, teachers’ spoken communication and instructions in English play a crucial role in creating a natural language environment. This makes learning English not boring, but rather an interesting, meaningful, and practical experience.✍️
