English Version:

Once upon a time, in a small village, people were eagerly waiting for rain. The fields were dry and the farmers were worried about their crops. Every day, they looked up at the sky, hoping to see clouds.

One morning, little Vedant woke up to a dark sky. He ran outside and felt the first drop of rain on his cheek. "It's raining!" he shouted with joy. Everyone in the village came out of their homes. The rain started to fall heavily, watering the thirsty earth.

Children danced and played in the rain, splashing in the puddles. The farmers smiled and thanked the rain for saving their crops. The village was filled with happiness and laughter.

The rain continued for a few days, filling the rivers and ponds. The crops grew healthy and green. Vedant and his friends enjoyed watching the raindrops on the leaves and listening to the sound of the rain.

Marathi Version:

एका गावात पाऊस कधी येईल याची सगळे आतुरतेने वाट पाहत होते. शेतं कोरडी होती आणि शेतकरी आपल्या पिकांबद्दल चिंतेत होते. दररोज ते आकाशाकडे पाहायचे आणि ढग दिसतील अशी आशा करत.

एके सकाळी, छोटा वेदांत  जागा झाला तेव्हा आकाश काळवंडलेले होते. तो बाहेर धावला आणि त्याच्या गालावर पहिल्या पावसाच्या थेंबाची अनुभूती घेतली. "पाऊस आला!" तो आनंदाने ओरडला. गावातील सगळेजण त्यांच्या घराबाहेर आले. पाऊस जोराने पडायला लागला आणि तहानलेल्या जमिनीला पाणी मिळाले.

मुलं पावसात नाचत आणि खेळत होती, पाण्यात उड्या मारत होती. शेतकरी हसत होते आणि पिकं वाचवल्याबद्दल पावसाचे आभार मानत होते. गाव आनंद आणि हास्याने भरून गेले.

काही दिवस पाऊस चालू राहिला, नद्या आणि तळे भरून गेले. पिकं ताजीतवानी आणि हिरवीगार झाली. वेदांत  आणि त्याचे मित्र पानांवरच्या पावसाच्या थेंबांचे निरीक्षण करणे आणि पावसाच्या आवाजाने आनंदित झाले.

 

Explanation of Difficult Words:

1.       Eagerly (आतुरतेने) - With a lot of interest and excitement to know something or do something.

2.       Worried (चिंतेत) - Feeling anxious or concerned about something.

3. Thirsty (तहानलेली) - In need of water; very dry.
4. Puddles (पाण्यात उड्या मारत) - Small pools of water, usually formed by rain.
5. Healthy (ताजीतवानी) - In good health; strong and well.
6. Dark sky (काळवंडलेले आकाश) - Sky covered with dark clouds, indicating rain is coming.
