'Jai Bhim'... A success password for Humanity and Social Justice in modern India.

'Jai Bhim'... A success password for Humanity and Social Justice in modern India.

Dear Grandchildren,This letter is a part of awakening program for you all regarding social reformers worked for enlightenment in india.

Indian women were given the right to vote at the time of India’s independence itself, which was a very progressive step. Dr. B. R. Ambedkar strongly advocated for women's rights through the Hindu Code Bill, and when it was not accepted in its full form, he even resigned from his position as Law Minister to stand firmly for justice and equality.

In 1950, India adopted its own Constitution, which rejected religious, caste-based, and gender discrimination. It promoted democratic values and ensured that every citizen received the right to vote. This achievement was made possible through the efforts of leaders like Dr. B. R. Ambedkar and Jawaharlal Nehru.

Before the first general elections in 1951, India had already decided to grant universal adult franchise, meaning every adult citizen—regardless of gender, caste, religion, education, or economic status—was given the right to vote. This was a major step in building a true democracy.

The Indian Constitution has played a crucial role in uniting a country of immense diversity, including different castes, religions, sects, regions, languages, and geographical conditions.

Dear children, you should develop a scientific temper, rational thinking, and a sense of equality. Read books that promote understanding, logic, and human values. Make sure to study the works of great thinkers who believed in equality.

If you choose to believe in blind faith, imaginary miracles, or unscientific stories, it will become difficult for you to grow intellectually. Such thinking can lead to mental slavery because it discourages questioning and critical thinking.

Unfortunately, many people in India have still not fully understood Dr. B. R. Ambedkar. In reality, wherever there is inequality, injustice, or discrimination in the world, his thoughts and work continue to inspire the fight for human rights, dignity, and equality for all.

 Your grandfather.
